Following the rescue of  Mrs Benedicta Chinda-Akem and her two children from possible danger while roaming the streets of Lagos, the Lagos State Government through the Ministry of Health sent a letter of appreciation to the The Better Society Foundation for the effort of her Director of Communication Mr Sola Apara, in  ensuring the safety of the victims.

On Wednesday 10th of April, 2013, Mr Apara noticed the Woman and her two children walking by the roadside right on the edge of the passing traffic on Mobolaji Bank Anthony in Ikeja oblivious of the passing traffic. Sensing that the woman was not mentally stable and fearing for her life and the two children with her, he enlisted the aid of two Police officers who with Mr Apara took the woman off the street and drove her to the Ikeja Police Station from where Mr Apara drew the attention of the Lagos State Ministry of Health to the case.

The woman and her two children have since been rehabilitated. Mr. Sola Apara can be seen in the above picture standing 3rd from left.
